Cliffe Laborde has litigated in state and federal courts since 1978, principally in Admiralty & Maritime Law on behalf of oilfield service companies and insurers in cases involving personal injury and property damage.

Cliffe was awarded the highest possible peer-reviewed rating by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, for professional ethics and integrity, over two decades ago. He is Past President of Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the American Inn of Court of Acadiana. Cliffe was awarded the Louisiana State Bar Association Crystal Gavel Award, Defense Research Institute Exceptional Performance Citation and The Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Sam Dalton Award. He has served as Continuing Legal Education Faculty for the Louisiana Bar Association, Louisiana State University Law Center, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and Lafayette Parish Bar Association, and has served as a Lafayette Volunteer Lawyer. He is a member of the LSU Law School Chancellor’s Counsel since 2003 and the Georgetown University Board of Regents since 1997.
